Announcement of NHR Editor

It is with great pleasure that we announce that Dr. Arlene Keeling has accepted the position of Editor of the Nursing History Review (NHR) and Dr. Christine Hallett has consented to serve as the Associate Editor. We are confident that these new editorial appointments will allow the NHR to maintain its rigorous journalistic excellence while also serving the AAHN members as their journal.

Since Dr. Keeling is the AAHN President, Dr. Gwyneth Milbrath, First Vice-President, made this appointment with the approval of the AAHN Board. Dr. Keeling has consented, at the Board’s request, to serve the remainder of her presidential term. The Policies and Procedures are silent on this issue. Dr. Keeling will assume editorial duties following the publication of volume 28 (2020, available late summer 2019). Dr. Keeling, as is customary in professional journal editorial positions, will receive a small stipend as well as financial support for an editorial assistant.

We look forward to seeing you at the AAHN annual conference in Texas and answering any questions you might have. We are very excited about this appointment and know that Dr. Keeling will be pleased to share her vision for the journal with everyone.
