Locals highly recommend the Heinz History Center, which recently updated its "Pittsburgh: A tradition of innovation" exhibition with a huge section on medical history and advances made in Pittsburgh. The Center's hours are 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. Self-guided visits are $12.00/person. The Center is about a ½ mile from the hotel or a short taxi ride.
